My Senior Thesis: "Virtual Reality: Exploring Teacher Pedagogy in Online Education"
Sadly, my creative work has been sorely neglected because I have been laboring on my Senior Thesis paper: Virtual Reality: Exploring Teacher Pedagogy in Online Education". After months of research and writing, I am pleased to share my finished product.
This paper was fascinating to write. I went into this project rather opposed to online education. I felt online education was ineffective and did not serve students or educators well. I am pleased to admit I was wrong. However, I found through research and anecdotal evidence, that online education totally works...IF the teacher is able to transfer their face-to-face skills in an online environment. As education nationwide is transferring to online venues, I feel the idea of quality matters greatly as does the ability of teachers to instruct online.
My Senior Thesis paper was truly a labor of love, and I couldn't be happier with the finished product! I have submitted my paper to the National Conference of Undergraduate Research, which will be held at Weber State this year. I look forward to presenting my findings to a larger audience. Enjoy!
